Upper Mississippi River Valley in Illinois: on 10/26/21, this Mississippi River area reported 0 blue-winged teal and 350 green-winged teal, bringing area’s combined total to 350. Last year at this time the area’s teal migration report is unavailable.

Lower Mississippi River Valley in Illinois: On 10/26/2021, The other Mississippi River reporting area reported 1,200 blue-winged teal and 26,420 green-winged teal, bringing the combined number of teal in the area to 27,620. No report can be found for this time last year.

Loess Bluffs: On 10/25/2021, This Northwest Missouri area along the Nebraska border reported 85 blue-winged real and 20,565 green-winged teal. This brings the combined total reported to 20,650. Loess Bluffs did not report for this time last year.

Teal migration count update for 10/19/2021

Upper Mississippi River Valley in Illinois: This area is located along the Mississippi River that flows along the eastern border of Missouri and the Western side of Illinois. On 10/19/2021 this area reported 250 blue-winged teal and 4,760 green-winged teal, bringing area’s combined total to 5,010. Last year at this time the area was reporting 1,405 total teal in the area.

Lower Mississippi River Valley in Illinois: This is the area located along the Mississippi River in southern Illinois. On 10/19/2021 the area reported 1,900 blue-winged teal and 21,030 green-winged teal, bringing total teal to 22,930. At this time last year, this area reported 8,300.

Loess Bluffs: This area is located close to the Missouri River in Northwest Missouri, less than 10 miles from the Nebraska border. On 10/6/2021 the area reported 10,795 blue-winged real and 7,645 green-winged teal. This brings the combined total reported to 18,440.
